NC1 broken tool check

A typical broken tool detection cycle, in which the tool is quickly checked to be intact following a machining cycle. An NC1 non-contact tool setter is used to check the tool length in a simple, rapid 'plunge' check before the tool is changed.

Tool breakage detection has little impact on machining cycle time, but can save time and money by eliminating unnecessary scrap following tool breakage.
