Magnetic encoders
To meet the increasing demand for reliable, low cost, rotary and linear encoding, Renishaw and associated company RLS have produced a range of robust magnetic linear encoders and magnetic rotary encoders. [13 kB]
Magnetic rotary encoders
A range of compact, high-speed rotary magnetic encoders designed for use in harsh environments, such as industrial automation, motor control, metal working, woodworking and packaging. [12 kB]
Magnetic linear encoders
The LM10 linear magnetic encoder features a compact sealed readhead that rides at up to 1.5 mm from the self-adhesive magnetic strip scale, with up to 100 m travel. [13 kB]
Position encoders
High precision position feedback solutions, including high speed optical linear encoders, precision angle encoders, robust rotary magnetic encoders and a range of laser interferometers. [16 kB]
LM10 linear magnetic encoder system
New linear magnetic encoder range brings additional performance, durability and value to a wide range of applications. The LM10 linear encoder joins Renishaw’s proven family of rotary magnetic encoders. The new LM10 linear magnetic encoder brings 100 m travel and fit-and-forget reliability to demanding high-speed, precision applications. [23 kB]
Renishaw launches a 'rocket' at MACH 2008
Visitors to Renishaw’s stand at MACH 2008 (hall 5, stand 5140) will be able to see Team Salakazi’s amazing KTM Super Twin nitromethane fuelled dragster which takes just 6.7 seconds to cover a 1/4 mile race track, achieving speeds of around 200 miles per hour. Aided by Renishaw’s rotary magnetic encoders that monitor crankshaft position and clutch speed, this 360kg ‘rocket’ generates 1,500 hp from just a 1995 cc engine. [33 kB]
Encoder product configurator
The configurator enables you to explore Renishaw's wide range of encoder systems and request relevant information. If you are uncertain of any options, please leave the fields unselected and continue to configure your encoder product or system. [15 kB]
Laser encoders
Interferometer encoders provide the ultimate accuracy in linear position feedback. [12 kB]

Renishaw's latest encoder product news, case stories and technical articles, allowing designers to integrate a wide range of encoders into motion control systems. [28 kB]
Welcome to Renishaw
In metrology, motion control, machine calibration, dental CAD/CAM, spectroscopy and neurosurgery, Renishaw innovations enhance precision, efficiency and quality. [42 kB]
RGH26 serial encoder system
The RGH26 readhead is specifically for use with Mitsubishi's MELSERVO®- J2S/J3 series of servo amplifiers. Unlike other serial communication linear encoders, the RGH26 does not require a separate interface. The electronics, interpolation and serial conversion are all contained within the same compact body of the popular RGH22. The RGH26 uses Renishaw's unique flexible 20 µm RGS20-S tape scale and offers resolutions to 0.5 µm. [19 kB]
All the benefits of Renishaw’s SiGNUM™ range of intelligent encoders... now with FANUC serial communications!
The non-contact format and large through-hole of the RESM ring, combined with high accuracy and a rugged IP64 sealed readhead make SiGNUM™ encoders perfect for machine tool rotary axes. The new Si-FN interface adds FANUC serial communications… [25 kB]
NASA 13-bit encoder award
Renishaw's new 13-bit magnetic sensor for rotary and angular positioning control was named 'Product of the Month' for November 2006 by NASA Tech Briefs magazine, an official publication of the USA's National Aeronautics & Space Administration (NASA). [25 kB]
Leading encoder supplier to participate in Linear Motion Masterclass
Renishaw, together with three other leading suppliers in the field of motion control, is supporting a linear motion conference organised by Eureka, a UK trade magazine for design engineers. The Linear Motion Masterclass is one of a series of the magazine’s ‘Design Days’, and takes place on 18th March 2008 at the Kaetsu Centre, Cambridge, UK. [33 kB]
RGH22 encoder system
The open, non-contact RGH22 readhead uses Renishaw's unique flexible 20 µm RGS20-S tape scale and offers resolutions to 50 nm. [19 kB]
